You can limit the maximum available DC bus voltage. In case you know the drive electronics intended to drive the motor, you can enter a maximum DC input voltage delivered by the power supply.
Really needed input voltage might be higher and it depends on control techniques applied (eg. Space Vector PWM). Take into consideration also voltage drops over drive electronics.
In case of AC/DC power supply modules fed from the mains and integrated in servo drives you need to get a value of internal DC-bus voltage.
For example at the DS2020 drive the bus voltage amounts to 565VDC (mains power supply 3x400VAC).
Moog Animatics SmartMotor™ should be powered from 48VDC power supply (drive stage). Lower voltages up to 20VDC might be used in some cases.
WARNING: Improper Power Supply Sizing may result in motor position errors, motor resets, and faults.
Notes: special windings not on catalogue are available under request.
